Bird Waste

The Bird Doctor professionals have the experience to clean, disinfect, and sanitize even the worst situations.

In fact, the Bird Doctor crew removed 6,750 pounds of bird droppings from a historic water tower in Weehawken, NJ.

When roosting pigeons turned basketball courts beneath the West Side Highway into their own private toilets, the Bird Doctor crews came to the rescue. The waste was removed, the area sanitized and a net was installed to exclude the pigeons.

Bird droppings are acidic and can eat through paint, roofing materials, and even some metal surfaces.
Experts say bird droppings may have contributed to the collapse of the interstate bridge over the Mississippi River that occured in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 1st, 2007.

Bird droppings, nesting materials, and parasites cause serious threats to health and property.

Health Risks

Bird droppings can expose humans to more than 60 dangerous diseases. Salmonella, Histoplasmosis, Meningitis, Encephalitis, and West Nile Virus have all been associated with pest birds.

It is not currently understood what role pest species might play in transmitting bird flu. But surely droppings from pigeons and geese in and around our homes or businesses could be cause for alarm.

Bird Waste Removal

The Bird Doctor experts will moisten the accumulation of droppings to keep them from becoming airborne. They will scoop, bag, and remove them from the site.

Power washing, sanitizing, and disinfecting can now be done to complete the cleaning process as shown below.
